Only if you let us have turns on it.   ;D

Congrats!  It's a beaut!

+1 you have to ride to every DML members house and give them all an hour on the 1098. Then you can hang around.

Your on. I think $25 bucks a pop ought to get you several sets of new tires as well as a place to stay.

Damn, I like the looks of the 1098!  What a change from the 695, huh?  Does it scare you?

GLantern

U know i really though tfor a long time that a liter bike would scare the hell out of me.  But it doesnt i have a lot of respect for it so it gives respect back if you get what im saying.  You just have to show self control.   Its an amazing stable machine too everything about it screams perfection. I wrote a big thing about it in the NYMMC forum if you want to check it out.  I have been riding for a long time though for my age.  Dirtbikes since 13 street bikes started at 18 and im 23 now.  Been riding every summer consistently but more in the last year.

However i haven't dared give it WOT just yet , needs to be broken in first anyways [evil]

you have a sticker on your light.

;)

congrats!  why not keep the monster too?  Cant have too many horses in the stable and it would keep the mileage low on each
If you love your bike, set it free.
If it comes back to you, you've
probably high-sided.

GLantern

I wish i could keep both, the monster is a much more forgiving bike for commuting but its too expensive between payments and insurance.  I figure sometime down the line ill pickup a s2r800 or 1000 as a 2nd bike to play around with but the 1098 needs to payed for in full first.  Bills suck [cheeky] but not too much they let me keep my 1098 ;D

Congrats! It's a beautiful machine.

Love the '1098' close up photo too.

Take care on that thing, it may not be a Monster in name, but it can sure bite.

Sharp looking bikes. Gotta love em  ;D
About the same time you're dragging your knees through a series of tight left-right-handers on Sunday afternoon, some guy in white shoes is sweating a 3-foot putt. Go figure.

Grampa

#1 one finger braking
#2 respect the throttle
#3 the break in period is a suggestion [evil]
#4 the tires are awesome, but they dont last for shit.
#5 upgrading the windscreen is a pregnant dog.
#6 Jeff at monsterparts has 1098 goodies.
#7 learn to look through your arms, and the rearview mirrors will be ok.
#8 ditch the reflectors... you will go faster.
#9 toes on the pegs.... lean it waaaaaay over, you'll be fine.
#10 get a battery tender hooked up to it.
#11 removing the front rim, aint the same as do'n it on a monster, be patient.
#12 have fuuuuuun [evil]  [moto]
Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar kicked me out of the band..... they said I didnt fit the image they were trying to project.

So I went solo.  -Me

Man that is a sweet ride. Say if you took the fairings off would it look like a monster? Or do they hide a bunch of stuff behind it. Just curious. Eichh

Already got that one down  [laugh] Course if a cop rolls up behind me i bet i would be oblivious to it  [leo]

And i think the fairings hide a lot so it wouldn't really be too much of a monster
