I'm mixing up some Mojitos. First time ever for me. Making that is. I'll be working on golf clubs too. (Good thing I've done that a million times).

Alex is off tomorrow, so I would probably get my nuts cut off if I made plans to work on the bikes all day long.  We (she and I) were talking about going out on the push bikes for a while, then trying to find her a motor jacket for the MSF course...

Hey, it is shopping for things to get her on a motorbike.  That, my friend, is the strongest of sauces!

Got the mint leaves.

Tried making a simple syrup with sugar and water. 2 to 1.   I was told we had sugar but it turned out to be powdered sugar and not granulated so the syrup was weak. Boo.

Had lime juice and fresh limes as well.

Bought a muddler and shaker / mixing glass.

Bacardi Light and club soda.  We had some leftover Bacardi Limon but I didn't try it.

The bad syrup didn't work as good as it should have and so went downhill from there.

Try & try until you succeed.  There will be another night.  And another until I prevail.  The cigar was good!

golf clubs can wait.  As for the mojitos, sorry about the powdered sugar fiasco.  That is a shame.

On the other hand, I've always been more of a mint julep man myself.  I think the bourbon stands up to the mint and sugar better.  yummmmm...
