Speaking of "the other place", anyone else started getting spam from Vertical Response? I got email trying to sell me a coffee table book and a 4 lp vinyl set from some band called "The Rentals" with a link to Vertical Response's "marketing policy"...
Might be time to randomise and automate the unsubscribe link...

I was "Banned" early on so one night I sat here and unsubscribed many many many times..... For hours even.....   coffee

No emails since.....  popcorn

Like your idea of automating that process.....  waytogo  Evil

As the instigator of this thread, I can assure you that the intention was far from being "makecist" - I've not come across this word before, but I think I get the meaning... But rather, poke a little fun at a particular active member of this forum (who has been surprisingly quiet on this thread!)

Like others have said, the people who make up the Oz Monster community come in all shapes and sizes, from all walks of life, and all have their personal reasons for riding ducati motorcycles, some of which may indeed fit into a category which people may define as elitist or brand snobbery. Personally like all types of bikes (and cars!) but can also appreciate why people find some marques evoke more emotion than others.

The reason why this community exists is to share our passion for ducati motorcycles, and in particular, the ducati monster. As such, I'd expect people to be more passionate for ducati here than say, netrider or similar. Anyways, it's all in good fun. Now back on topic, can anyone offer more in the way of substantiation?

Perhaps the term should be Marques-ist ... or mabe anti-Marxist?

Haha, that's okay Grin it wasn't an overly serious comment in the first place (the made up word was the hint!). I just have something of a compulsion to stir the pot whenever I hear/see brand loyalties getting out of hand!

I blame it on the way I was raised  laughingdp
