Please let me know if you find or hear of anyone selling a used or reasonably price new S4 Showa fork (fully adjustable version).
Much thanks

If you want them to drop in an ohlins revalving kit, you can also use the S2R1K ones

I'm looking for the least expensive, direct swap out of my stock GT1000 Marzocchi front forks. People from the classic forum suggested that the adjustable Showa from a monster,SS, or ST is a direct swap out.
There's one on ebay from a Multistrada, but I cannot easily tell if it's the same as the above or not. The OEM parts lookup site that I know about is down at the moment (
http://www.ducatiomaha.com/products.asp
)

The stroodle forks are longer than the monsters. Other than that they should fit. I've actually been considering getting some for the project bike and mounting the clip ons over the triple on the excess fork.

Just learned that it's longer as well. Go get the one on ebay. It's a great deal.

I thought the showa forks were adjustable on 2003 + Monster 1000's, that includes the S2R 100o. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they are. The problem you will run into with the ST forks is that they're made with internals that are stiffer because those bikes are much heavier than the Monster line, I know you're using it on the GT 1K but they're about the same weight as the air cooled Monsters. So with that said you'll have to spend extra $$ on correct internals for the weight of your bike. I would stay away with from longer forks if you intend on using your current bar setup. Taller fork tubes may interfere with handlebar clearance. I would stick to searching for forks from the Monster line.
Good luck with the hunt, I'll keep my eyes peeled for ya.

Hell considering that the monsters are sprung for a 140 lb rider, maybe that is a good thing
