My dad has had shoulder replacement surgery and thus is legal to hunt deer in Minnesota with a cross bow.   Funny how he thought my AR was a foolish purchase when I bought it.

Huh what? If you don't have shoulder problems what are allowed to hunt with? Only a bow? I'm not familiar with this "hunting" thing. I get all my meat on a Styrofoam tray wrapped in plastic.

Minnesota has 3 different Deer hunting seasons.  Rifle, Muzzleloader, and Archery.

The archery season is for Bow only, unless you are handicapped or have a medical condition that prevents you from being able to properly use a standard bow, then you can get a permit to use a crossbow. 

My dad hunted with bow for years, but now that he's 74, it's a bit tough to draw the bow.  He could have always used a crossbow, but didn't want to.  It wasn't until about 5 years ago when his doctor advised it that he started using a crossbow.

Nothing wrong with tacticool, I like the industrial looking bits!  Not easy (or cheap) being a gadget hound.

Nothing wrong with tacticool, I like the industrial looking bits!  Not easy (or cheap) being a gadget hound.

What about muzzle flash?  Dont want it to give away your position.  Especially if theres only one high value target to take out. 

Isnt all marketing manipulative?  Im a sucker for CF, does that make me "that guy" of bikes??   Probably!

Really? I thought that only instructors were allowed to buy. I think the reasoning is that you aren't going to hide a crossbow while the nunchaku can be hidden in your jacket pocket... sorta... The difference is that I can't accidentally kill someone 10' away from me with a pair of nunchaku. Well, I guess I could but it's much less likely than with a crossbow.
