Speak up on this scooter! Who's got one? I know we are a minority, but then again I think we have at least 8-10 that I've seen so far posting...

Mine, an 01, purchased last Sept. w/ 5400 miles (12k as of today ;D) a few mods here and there...

    Love the transformation Scooby!!!   [thumbsup]

Here's my 2001 MS4, with 6000 miles on it....Currently running Full Termi kit w/ spaghetti pipe, open airbox, DP ECU, DP race Cams, 14T front, Sargent seat, and Michelin Power Race medium-softs...The S4 is the most unique Monster IMHO, being that it's the only one ever made with the 916 motor....Other things add to it's uniqueness too, though...

I just installed a MotoWheels red pressure plate + half cover, which I'll post pics of later....These pics are from earlier this year....I also have a Matris M3 damper on the way....The only color they had was blue though!!!  :-\ Oh well, it might look cool, who knows.... :)

2001 MS4; Full Termi w/airbox, ECU, SPS cams, CycleCat ClipOn Adapters, Apex clip-ons, CRG's, MW open clutch, Sargent Saddle, CF aplenty.. NOT RIDEABLE FOR A LONG TIME DUE TO MY STUPID LACK OF JUDGEMENT!!

I forgot to ask, scooby, what kind of rotors are you running?? do they feel any different fromte OEM ones?? They look great!!

-Also, what brand of rearsets??  I REALLY want to install some rearsets, but they're kinda hard to find for the S4 it seems.... :-\

Rotors are brake Tech ductile iron... very nice with a pretty darn good weight savings too. Not to mention my wheels are not stock; they are Marchesinis but they are magnesium instead of aluminum...

The rearsets are Rizoma, but a style/type that are no longer made. They came off my Monster 750 as did just about all the spare parts on my S4. It was all interchangable...

2002 S4 with 20 000km. Currently being serviced.  [thumbsup]

Serious question here: does my (bike) ass look a little low. Any n00b threads on raising the ride height?

duc996

It does look a little low,but you look like a big guy so maybe it sank a little?

I'm only 84kgs, but point taken. I'll photograph the bike when it gets back from the shop - in two or three weeks! Waiting on parts from Italy.  :'(

Scooby, Johnster. How do you guys lke the Sargent seat compared to the stock seat? Does it sit a little higher? I have a sargent on my 900 and I love it, makes a world of difference. So far I'm really diggin the stock S4 seat so I havent decided if I will get a Sargent for S4.

I really do like the Sargent!  [thumbsup]

-I've heard people say that they're too firm, but I like that they're very roomy.... It allows you to shift your butt position for hanging off much more naturally, which I like a lot....The only gripe I have, is that I like to "Thigh-Master" the tank a lot when I ride, especialy during hard breaking + cornering, to take weight off of the bars,  and it seems like the angle of the seat going up to the tank is a bit off, and can cause inner-thigh cramps, but that may just be me.... :-\

but yeah, I like it!! Props...
