When I was in Afghanistan in 2008-2009 I carried variants of the M500 Mossberg Shotgun, M249 SAW, and the M4 Carbine ( with and without the M203 Grenade launcher)

But nothing beats the sound of the M2 .50 Cal or the MK-19 belt-fed automatic grenade launcher [thumbsup]

Jebus guys, the word gun nut comes to mind.  Or, ah, I mean aficionado. ;D

That is a bad ass shotgun.  Close quarters or not, I'd say an excellent home defense weapon.

I prefer afficionado but have heard gun nut a few times. I have a safe bolted to the floor that pretty much full so i have a wide selection  ;D !! The first thing I did when I got it home was sweep a few corners and actually move around my house a little with it. It looks really long but it's not so bad. It's going to be a fun gun for cheap shooting at the range, three gun practice or matches and general use. I really don't like the really short barreled shotguns as much because I cam't shoot them as well as something a little longer. My Mossy's 2 inches shorter but doesn't shoot nearly as well.
I'm here to kick a*! and chew bubble gum...and I'm all out of bubble gum.
