It's getting boring here on the west coast of Florida, what with the sun shine everyday and the temps hovering around 80. It's the type of weather that makes one think about riding but then you make note of the behavior of most of the drivers; you recall the fact that Florida is the flattest state in the Union and most of the roads go straight for 80 m9iles, and not riding is easier to take.

I compromised and bought a used bicycle.
Nobody said that I did. Everyone says that I would.

Poor, poor Nic.  I can't stop crying for you.  Next thing you know you won't drink beer 'cause it's too warm for that, too.   :'(

You're not far from Jennings, and they have track days most every weekend!  It's just south of the Fla/Ga border close to I-75.

That really makes me want to cry.   :'(

Got my clip-ons today. Who can help me out? I think I need to get holes drilled for the controls and I'll need help with the triple clamp to make room.

I'm available Sunday (I think) if you need a hand.

Yeah I could swing by on Sunday.

Just got a new camera. Any suggestions where to mount it? I would like to put it on my helmet. Anybody have any experience or pointers with that. Also inside the windscreen was my other thought.  Maybe tail mounted but pointing back. Suggestions welcome?

What kind of camera is it? I've mounted mine behind the windscreen on my monster, you get good engine noise and not a lot of wind noise (even at 100+mph), plus its a stable mount and you can mess with the camera without getting off the bike. Also with the gopro I have, the field of vision is large enough to see your instruments and controls, which is interesting. Mounting on the tail is great too, I've mounted it backwards and forwards so I could see myself in the video. With it mounted on the tail you don't get any wind noise really and lots of great exhaust noise. Sounds awesome!  [thumbsup]

Edit: Hey Scott, when would be a good time to swing by, if I did on Sunday?

So I took the bike out for a bit this morning..  A bit too long aparently.  Nail in the back tire.  Nail out of the back tire.  Flat back tire..  :'( Made for a good workout rolling it around though, and pushing it up the ramp onto the truck. Holy flippin crapsickle bikes get hard to push on flat rubbers.  Hopefully its patchable.  I need a few hundred more miles out of that thing. The nail hit almost dead center. Blah.  Back into the garage..
