Next question:

A friend here in Florida (who's visited us in ABQ) told me about a place on Central in Nob Hill called Shade Tree Customs & Cafe. Evidently the cafe is on the 2nd floor and the custom shop on the first.

http://www.shadetreecustomscafe.com/

Anyone check this place out?  Curious...

I generally eat there about once a week or more.  Good folks.  Decent food.  A wide selection of brewed beverages if you're into that sort of thing.   I no longer drink but I'm game to watch others partake as long as there's a hamburger afoot.  Not generally aligned to my taste in bikes, but still two-wheeled vehicles so it's all good!

[ka-chunk sound]

Ok!  You're checked in now.

Seriously though:  How's things been?  Your lovely wife & kiddo are looking healthy on the Face-em-up-book and I hear talk of a stupidcharger for the Miata?!?  Whoa!

Enjoy the years when your child is young.  It'll seem like a flash and he'll be graduating HS.

Good to hear from ya man.  Be well...  waytogo

Yeah I read your daughter is looking at colleges already! Dominic is no longer just a little ball of meat and is starting to develope a personality already. Brittany is already sad he's no longer a tiny newborn. We're all doing good. Brittany is already back at work, Dominic is going to day care on base, and I got qualled in my aircraft, so I finally get to move on to the fun and juicy stuff like tactics and weapons employment.

The Miata is starting to get fast in the handling department, wide wheels, sticky tires, adjustable coilovers and sways. I took second place in raw times among all classes at the last autocross I went to. Time to work on the power. Already got some long tube headers, and a 2.5" midpipe and muffler put on it, looking at a Rotrex C30-84 for some forced induction goodness.  Evil

Actually, I'm planning on visiting the weekend of the 20th of June for a friend's wedding. He leaves for his honeymoon Saturday afternoon and I'll probably be in town still until Sunday. So I might have some time to catch up with everyone.

Ok, so obviously didn't get to visit back in June. I was at survival school at the time. I just got back from a quick underway before my long deployment coming up and I have leave and a plane ticket to NM! Will be getting into town late Wednesday and staying until the 24th.

I trust you all had a big old time in Telluride. Just a heads up that the Barbster & I will be arriving in ABQ the Saturday night of Labor Day weekend. We plan to stay for 5 weeks. We look forward to seeing you guys & having some fun. We've been spending this summer working on the NY house so it can go on the market next spring.

We had a blast Nic.
No tickets but one guy ended up in the hospital hitting a deer.
We will be back from Germany by Sept. 30 and hope to see you before you leave.

Was up in Taos for the last few days, just got back down into ABQ. I'm guessing everyone's pretty tired from DiTR.  Dolph
