....because a mind is a terrible thing......

« Reply #915 on: March 14, 2010, 04:37:10 PM »

I've really got no better place to discuss this since I don't believe the topic worthy of its own thread, so.....

I guess everybody knows I own an MH900e.  The only new development in this ownership is that I've volunteered to jump in as the site administrator for the MH900e owner's club.  I have very little experience in web programming (I've programmed in Basic, Paschall, C, Fortran, and some lesser known machine code languages, but not for this purpose or using this type of code).   In this capacity I was hoping to see if anyone in the group has any web programming skills.  In particular, I'd like to find a book or other resource detailing the code used in .php programming.  I've jumped it the code used to generate web pages via .php and I've had some success moving components around, but I'd like a more basic understanding so I can really make the pages do what I want them to do!

If anybody knows anything, please holler!

If you just want to see what I've done so far, you can check out http://www.mh900e.org/parlare

Cheers,

Some folk have been asking me about my GoPro camera & found a shot that should explain (24mph).
As you have seen in some of the videos we've posted, the quality is great, but the speed is kinda' slow...ta' say the least (video or still shots). The point & shoot cameras with video that you can get at any electronic store works better I think, but, not a lot of mounting options. DDGM has a new, very compact sports camera after a couple of failed attempts with his GoPro & sound pretty cool. I haven't seen any moto vids that he has shot yet
it seems to work great as a voyeur cam though.    laughingdp  popcorn

Heres one with my iphone today. Hell, it's even faster.

Speaking of odd pics.
Standing in my kitchen, looking out my window, and BAM!!! Pigeon being chased by a hawk. Hawk missed & as you can see the "roach" didn't. The hawk was right on his tail feathers & shot two stories straight up...it was awesome. The second pic is him waiting to drop into the courtyard to take his dinner.

I put them as wallpaper on my computer. On any given day I feel like one or both of them.

Today I'm on the make the beast with two backsin' wire.  Which is nothing like being "on the fence".   Wink

KB,
Was that the same camera you had on your 1098 when we did a Crest run a while back?

I have, I had a boss who paid me beeter the faster I could get to Wyoming. I'll tell you now, birds that play in the road are accustomed to moving out of the way of cars moving a certain speed. You add 40-50mph to that and you hit a lot of them. I hit one bird three times. It bounced off the bumper, the leading edge of the hood and the top of the windshield. I watched in the rear view mirror. It was a full 10 seconds before it landed.

BTW coolest spokes EVER!

Wish I could say I was just pedaling that fast to twist the spokes.  laughingdp

Finally got the damn title stuff worked out for Thunderduc and she is officially on the road (until next year when she goes back to being a race bike)!  Wooooo!

Whats new in the land of Red or Green?

110Hz tone generator.. There's an Ap. for that!  and I got it, I Made it make noise, and "tuned" my timing belts accordingly.  and FWIW I had forgotten that my bike does not have electrodes on the spark plugs.  Interesting little bastards I must say...   waytogo
