What Fender Eliminator Kit should I get for my 695?  I'm wanting not to do too much cutting on the bike.

Are you talking about a tail chop kit or a fender eliminator?  They're two different things.

The fender eliminator will get rid of your . . . well . . . your rear fender.  It'll leave the beer tray. A tail chop kit will get rid of your fender and your beer tray, but you'll have to chop the frame.

As far as a fender eliminator kit, I vote to get the "aluminum strips with holes from the local hardware store" kit.  It's a coupla bucks.  As far as tail chop kits, I vote to get the "L brackets from the local hardware store" kit.  It's also a coupla bucks. Or you could spend like $100 and get something like the Cookie tail chop kits from monsterparts.
Occasionally AFM #702  My stuff:  The M1000SS, a mashed r6, Vino 125, the Blonde, some rugrats, yuppie cage, child molester van, bourbon.

if you dont want to cut get the $30.00 evolutionize tag bracket. it keeps the beer tray, and removes the plastic that hangs down.

This is what I'm getting as soon as I have extra $$$$

That is nice..  But 2 bills is a bit pricy.  I was looking to stay around 1 bill...

That kit involves cutting.  It's not "major" (I'm not sure what that means exactly), but you'll have to cut your frame to get that kit to work.  That is what I would call a "tail chop" kit, not a fender eliminator.  You can do the same thing with four (or 6) L-brackets from the hardware store .  Seriously.

We can walk you through it step by step if you want to go the DIY route.  Or you can buy the CW kit or the Cookie kits (monsterparts).  You'll still have to cut the frame though.

I'm interested in a step-by-step DIY process. I have a Ducati 696 and spending over $100 is just silly. My biggest problem will probably be welding, not too good at that.
