So I'm up here from SoCal for a week for some business.  I read the tourist tips thread but I'm looking for some more specific info.  I'm trying to find any cool Moto-related places to check out... Any exemplary shops?  Cafes, bars, etc?  I want to watch GP on Sunday as well, anywhere good to watch it?

I'm staying this weekend with my friend in the Balboa area by GG Park, and all week I'll be at Fisherman's Wharf (ugghh, thats where the course I'm taking is).

Sorry you haven't gotten a lot of responses. We've all been at the races at Infineon, watching Tigre race.

You can watch GP at either the Dainese store on S. Van Ness Ave, or at the Ace Cafe. The Dainese store is great also for shopping, but very dangerous. Another great place for gear is Scuderia West, sort of nearby.  (Check the local resources thread for more details).

Munroe Motors is the official Ducati dealer in SF, or there is Hattar in San Rafael, about a half hour north.

That's all I can think of at the moment, my brain is fried from sitting in the sun all day.

Or of course you could go to Infineon to watch AMA/Supermoto/Motocross racing.

Thanks much, MM, those are GREAT suggestions and I'll definitely be checking out at least one of those places.  Already PM'd desmoquattro back and might be meeting up at the Ace for a beer.  I'm trying to find out if they'll be replaying the MotoGP some night since I missed it - went to Bay to Breakers instead and had a blast!   waytogo

I work at the D (Dainese) Store on Sundays. We show AMA, World Superbike, and Moto GP races every Sunday. You don't have to buy anything and there's always complimentary espresso and soda (not combined of course!). I'm pretty sure that on Tuesday they will be showing the AMA races from this past weekend. Like Desmoquattro said, just PM either of us and we'd be more than happy to show you around! And DQ could be persuaded to loan you a bike... Grin

Hey guys, just wanted to say thanks much for showing me around a bit while I was in town!  I had a great time.  Desmoquattro and BikerGoddess - you two are welcome at my place any time, PM me if you'll be in Socal... Hopefully will get to meet up at Laguna and have a  drink or 10.

Warren and Evan - was good meeting you guys too.  I didn't get your nick's, but I know you're both on here  waytogo  You two have some seriously cool rides.

Evan is enzo and Warren is, well, Warren.

Tigre's place. Sunday, 7pm. Pizza, beer, rediculously large flat screen tv.
