drove past the aftermath of a horrible duc crash today

evening commute, around 5:45.  580 eastbound netween oakland and castro valley.  lots of EMT and fire engines... no rider (already rushed off), but a badly battered 1098 (look like it may have flipped) and three or so cars still pulled over and some distraught looking drivers.

i hope hope hope it wasn't a fatality   

does anyone know more about this?
