I would love to hit those gals with some cold cream!

Rode up to ProItalia today to see the Streetfighter, and well, sorry to say I wasn't too impressed.  But then I didn't get to ride it.

Speaking of lane splitting, out here in LA I've gotten to the point where I want to go riding just so I CAN do some lane splitting.  It really is the sport of kings out here.

Miss you guys and gals btw.

Not much into those groovy evening fashion show things. Last one I hit was the Dec. 2006 1098 coming out party. Looks like they had a nice turn out. AMS does put on a good gig for sure. applause

Cruised down yesterday afternoon to check it all out. Mark offered me a test ride on the "thing" (I can't make myself call it by it's stupid name) but I didn't take him up on it. Personally, the coolest bike on the floor is the Brad Pitt one off 1098S in flat black! I am not usually fond of the "dark" bikes but this one is so subtle it actually stands out. Does that make sense? Tongue Don't know why he got the factory to make it for him then never picked it up... his loss. Really nice custom touches: silver frame, carbon here and there, black powder coated swingarm, factory rear sets. All neat stuff and for only $19K! That's a really good deal for a custom, factory one off 1098S! Of course Brad Pitt is a complete turd and a total waste of space but at least the bike is cool. waytogo

DNA:  And here you are, Mr. Pitt, your brand new Ducati.  That will be 20 large, please...

B.P. :  Wait!  You don't actually expect me to PAY for this?!?  Don't you know who I am?!?  Ducati should be happy I've chosen them to endorse...

DNA:  That's 20 with three zeros after it, Mr. Pitt...

I read somewhere (probably in BIKE magazine, a terrific mag from the UK):

"By definition, a 'streetfighter' cannot be made in a factory."

I think I agree.  But then again, I have no idea what kind of street fight one would be in armed with a motorcycle.   Huh?
