OH, YEAAHH!!!!!!!!

« on: May 14, 2009, 11:04:44 AM »

I was looking get some motorcycle movies for the ol' DVD collection.  I turned my cable off so I have to watch something.  I was wondering shat are the best Motorcycle Movies of all time, seriously!  I am looking for movies about motorcycles or movies that motorcycles play a primary role, not movies with motorcycles as a prop.  Bick I know you love Tom Cruise in Days of Thunder where he rides the Harley around the track at the beginning, but that is exactly what I am not talking about.

What am I missing

1.  Faster
2.  Docter, The Tornado & The Kentucky Kid
3.  Long Way Round
4.  Fastest Indian
5.  On any Sunday
6.  The Wild One
7.  ?

Has anyone seen "Little Fauss & Big Halsy" or "Silver Dream Racer"?

Would you include movies like "The Great Escape" or "Easy Rider"?

That's good, we should have a must see and a forget list.

Forget
3. Torque
4.  Wild Hogs (Bwahahahahaha)

Has anyone see "Sacrifices to the Gods of Speed" (documentary on Burt Munro)?

Fastest Indian is my favorite moto movie... granted I have seen less than half on that list.

Any recommendations for ones I MUST see?

You forgot about him racing F-14's on his Ninja (on the dirt service road) in Top Gun.

There are so many 70's and 80's bike movies out of Australia that are just priceless.
If you can find a source for old aussie movies please let me know.

I'm also a big fan of the Motorcycle Diaries.  waytogo

Ghost Rider may be on the cusp. Could go both ways on that one...
