is there a difference between the 4 pot goldline and the 4 pot pot black caliper of the s2r1000? (I know that the 800/620 had the 2 pot black).

When I looked at a S2R 1000 that was in during the week for service, it looks the same, brake disc off set, Caliper, line's, masters, Fork bases/mount.
Just the colour of the Caliper appears to be different.
There might be a bigger difference under the skin I can't see, but it makes sense to me to make an upgrade part for the 800 that just use's already commonly available S2R 1000 parts.

Progress Photo's
The swingarm is in and swinging!
While I had it off, I did a few other Jobs
* Repainted the OEM RearSets to Black
* Cleaned and Greased the Pivot Bearings and Hub Bearings (The one's I could get to anyway)
* Installed new rear disc pads
* Put in new rear brake fluid and bled (I was amazed how much air was in there)
* Installed Titanium Hub pinch bolts (The OEM's were rooted) and replaced a lot of the OEM bolts with Stainless steel bolts
* Replaced the OEM "Tights spots everywhere!" Chain with a new EK Red Chain, You don't need a crimper for the rivets on this chain, it has some small nuts (Oooh er Matron!) you do up as tight as you can, it self crimps and then you break the long bolts off, install 2 small Orings and your off, CaCycleworks sell them, I figure if Chris stocks them they must be good, he refuses to sell crap or unsafe products.
And now for the progress Pics
* PS: New I forgot something: Installed a HyperMotard Oil line I got off a crashed bike (EBay for only $50 Delivered to Australia!!)

Pics aren't the best, but a quick update for everyone,
This week, New front Brakes  waytogo

Hey Spider ! You got shares in that Ceramic coating company??  Grin

BTW, whats the story with getting them done! I spent a couple of hours with the emery and polishing equipment (Very shiny, looked schmick waytogo), and it turned shitty and brown again within a week.  Roll Eyes

you can polish your life away brother.

getting them coated is a PITA....means your off the bike for a week!

(would have been good in a 'wet week' of melbourne weather....but we don't have those anymore, eh!)

I like em cause....they look good....same reason I like Rizoma fluid reservoirs....

Looking neat there CD.
How's about taking a bit of length out of those pipes.
Not going crazy as some of our friends do in the US of A but losing an inch or two would tie that back end together.

My 2c's for your on going work.

That's the silly parts with the Termi Can's though, I like em out there, I've seen a few chopped and shortened, but I prefer them out that far, the joys of modding, To each his own!  waytogo

I considered getting the pipes coated, but with the bike off the road for 2 or more weeks, the cost to get it done and to be honest, I like the look of the pipes in there plain form, and even if I wanted to do it, it won't be happening anytime soon, with the bike going back to commuting work with the loss of my current job, the chances of it happening are pretty much nil.  Smiley
