When you get the new rod, and if you are taller than 5'-8", get the adjustable one. I used to have a M620 and changing to the adjustable rod made a huge difference to how the bike rode. Also, the tail can be lifter about and inch higher and makes the bike look much better. That is the first thing I did to my s2r 1000 when I bought it.

I'm sorry to hear that there are others out there like me who have to deal with this sort of annoyance.  Did you need to file a police report to get reimbursement from NYC? How long did it take for them to process your claim?

The City paid for two wheels and tires on my wife's car about four years ago.  They weren't speedy, but they did pay.  No police report filed.  You will not collect if the pot hole was not previously reported.

Certain time constraints have pushed me to take my moto to the local garage, Moto Grrl, and have them do the work.

One thing I noticed from the tie rod that I ordered online, it's 272mm long, eye-to-eye.  The guy I bought it from told me he took it off of a M695, but isn't the one from the M695 only 267mm?  Can anyone confirm this?  Is it going to be an issue to install the 272mm tie rod on the M695?  The mechanic at Moto Grrl expressed concern that it was too long.  I know the part has a part number on it, but I only managed to think of referencing the part number now - at a time when I already dropped off the bike... It'll fit, if the rose joint hole diameter and width is the same, but the 5mm difference will probably raise the rear ride height by over 1/2".
Okay if you want quicker steering, not okay if you are vertically challenged.
You'll find a lot of monsterers (including me) like to have the rod up to 10 mm longer than standard to get that quicker steering.

My M695 link was 272mm eye-to-eye.  I just looked for my original one to physically confirm, but I couldn't find it.  However, prior to installing an adjustable link I set it to the standard length and took a pic against a ruler...272mm.  I think you have the correct length link.

Also, the link in your pic on p1 looks like an aftermarket adjustable version, not the stock non-adjustable piece from an M695.  No way Ducati will help out with that.
