"Don't dress for the ride...dress for the crash"

Yeah this is a lame rant but if I can save you some money, hey why not.

I was looking for some new spring caps for my SS, I came across the SpeedyMoto gold caps.  Every online picture looks like this:

Looking at that picture, those would look great on my bike. Nice subtle gold that matches my 900ss frame and rim color, sweet!  Yeah not so much.

Here is what they really look like:

As you can see they're more of a dark yellow/gold. The picture actually lightened them up a bit, they seem even darker in reality.  Not exactly a good match to the advertised pictures.  Not a huge deal but I don't like the darker gold at all. Motostrano is letting me swap them for another color, really cool of them. So yeah, um. Right.

I actually ordered these thinking the same thing. Color would pick up my gas cap / shock under the seat. I should receive them on Wednesday. I'm not seeing your pics?Huh? Can you re-post them or is it my computer? Or I can wait till Wednesday and see them for myself...

You are correct, the same happened to me. I however ended up keeping them they kind of look nice with the red clutch pressure plate..

Also keep in mind that the color will be different on every batch they produce. Anodized color is very hard to replicate every time, it is not like paint. Impurities in the metal can change the finish color as well as many other factors.

As well their photo is taken in a professional studio with tons of light - yours is taken in the package with poor lighting. I bet if you took photos of yours in a studio with the same light, camera, settings, etc... it would turn out much closer.

Just food for thought...

That is probably the most popular combo we do - or maybe red with black caps... close call.

Hmmm... I see what your saying now....  Undecided

I probly would order in black had I seen this, but it's too late for me. Looks like someone mixed in some Gulden's Spicy Brown Mustard to the batch!

thats exacty what i want to do with my bike. Except with the Kukri plate. Looks sexy as hell

Everything should be photographed in natural sunlight, not studio florescent. When are our bikes ever ridden indoors? Roll Eyes I especially like it when they decide to photograph an item themselves, so you know that the original manufacturer didnt photoshop it.
