On the passenger pegs - try this to make removal replacement as easy as the solo seat - Remove the pegs.  Replace the rear most bolt on each peg from the inside of the bike toward the outside.  This becomes more of a hole and peg situation for the rear mount hole when you replace the pegs.  Then it's 1 bolt each to remove and replace the pegs.  No messing with the side covers or anything.  The covers hide the protruding bolt when the pegs are removed.  I've been using this method for a year without any problems.

Good luck with the mods.

Here's a picture of mine with the handguards.

Recommendations on indicators??
Motowheels (sponsor board on left) has some affordable ($66 each) LED Kellerman signals that don't look too ultra-modern like a lot of LED's do. I just ordered some for the front of my 996 in fact.

This map is upside down, the plan is written in crayon, and the weather forecast is from 2011.

If you want to make it look mean, get rid of all that gold bling.  And start taking pieces off and/or painting them black.

You could also think about mounting a machine gun on the tank or adding a holster for a sawed off shotgun or a bat.  [evil]
Occasionally AFM #702  My stuff:  The M1000SS, a mashed r6, Vino 125, the Blonde, some rugrats, yuppie cage, child molester van, bourbon.

Hmm, on second thought, the big ass gun doesn't quite fit.  It doesn't match the lines of the bike.  A cannon perhaps?  <hoping silentbob has a cannon lying around>  [evil]

Personally, I don't cut any frames on my bikes, unless it is an old piece of crap like a KZ1000 and laying down the shocks 80's Superbike style, but that is just me.

Why not just practice all the time so no one can keep up with you, anytime, anywhere?

Ok so here's the plan.

I like all the gold stuff so it's staying.

I won't be mounting any artillery on the bike.

Fairing coming off.

Tail being chopped.

New indicators - style to be determined.

Contemplating the handguards - kinda like 'em

And if I can figure out how to lower the headlight - that will work.

After that I will need to wait for more $$$

I will keep you  posted as things progress..... [thumbsup] [thumbsup] [thumbsup] [thumbsup]

thanks board dudes.
This place feels nice. Black S4RS, CRG Barend mirrors, vented clutch cover, gold clutch plate, gold pazzo racing levers, full 50m termi system, little carbon extras....oh yeah ...almost forgot....ban corporate coffee!

Do NOT buy a Zero Gravity tinted windscreen -- just paint the inside of the stock one black.

Damn, that's a good idea.

To give you a look see on the chop situation. Just got this done in the last couple of days.
Need to fab some of my own indicator mounts as the CW ones hit the cowl with the after market indicators I have.

Lowering the head light you'll need a spare/practice headlight U just in case, then you can just go to the Tutorials and all the answers are there.
