Hi.

For a M696, in step one, "Unplug wire next to subframe".

How do you unplug it?  It's hard to get to and there is little play.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, me again.

Ok, got that.  How about this Seat Latch cable?  Do you disconnect the end from under the seat and if so how?

Disconnect the end under the seat. You can just slide the cable end out of the little slip bracket it's sitting in. This mod was a little bit of a pain in the arse, but makes the bike look much better. Watch out too because there are a couple of steps that seemed to be missing in the instructions, like where to route the wires and the excess seat lock cable. I just curled mine around...

Is there anyway to f this up?  Only reason I ask is because I paid some guy $40 to install mine and it took him a couple hours to finish it.  Thanks.

Oops.  Disconnected the wrong end.  Guess I'll have to figure it out.

Thanks though for the advice.

Alrighty then.  Got it all together and things actually work!

One last question please.

Although I had marked where the latch position was, I guess not good enough as I'm struggling with getting the seat to latch in.

Any advice or tricks of the trade to get everything lined up?   Just can't seem to get it to work.

Thx.

I had to loosen seat loosen the seat latch bolt, so I had to loosen the the CW kit as well, then I gently lowered the seat towards the latch and pushed the latch in place with a screw driver until I could see the latch and seat lining up. Then off with the seat and tightened everything up again. Worked like a charm.

The guy a CW was a pleasure to deal with and eliminator kit looks great & it is less than half the price of the DP kit.
BUT the install directions suck!
