I was on my 1995 Monster 900 this morning at the gas station when this 50's something guy with dress shoes, white pants , and a purple silk shirt walks up and tells me " I am a very savvy collector of Ducati's" I said "that nice, what kind of bikes do you have?" He then says "I know what i am looking at and with todays market I am prepared to offer you $9500 cash for your bike." I started laughing my ass off, and said "no thanks" He said "I know you paid around $20,000 for it, but it lost 1/2 its value the second you drove it off the lot." iIcould not take it anymore I had to walk inside to get away from this clown.  As I was leaving the guy yells from his 80's BMW "an opportunity like this only comes by you once in a lifetime." I smiled and said "I will probally regret it." I then had one of the best rides of my life!  [thumbsup]

I'd have sold on the spot ;D

Maybe would have been a good financial decision, but then he'd have missed out on this:

If the guy had cash in hand I would have not only sold him the bike I would have talked him in to buying my boots for $500.  They are two year old Alpinestar!  Aren't they Italian also!  Vintage year!
