Glad you and yours are ok dude.

I'm with fastwin on this one, it's easy to be objective when we're not directly involved. While it's definitely true that you saved the most important things, losing a house, bike, etc really is horrible.

Keep us up to date with insurance.

Good story that all are OK, dogs seem to be taking it in stride.
Good luck finding suitable accommodations, thoughts & prayers.

Wow, I know it is alot easier for us to say it then it is for you to live it, but all of that can be replaced.  Your family (all pets included if it is anything like my family) made it out safely.  I am glad that all of you are OK.  Keep us informed on ANYTHING we can do to help you out.  Good luck brother!

Dude, you lost the mini van too!! Well, now you can rebuild the garage with a bike bay, get a new Monster, and ditch the mini van for something less, well, mini-van-ish!

Just trying to add some humor to the grim situation. Hey, as most have said, you and the dogs are ok, that is what counts!! Material things come and go, but loved ones just go!

So sorry to hear, glad all are safe though.  That would be scary to go through.  Hope insurance does you right.

+1

So sorry to hear about this. What matters is that you and your pets got out safely.

On another note, and I hate to be the one to mention this, but homeowners does not cover vehicles. At least in pa. They have their own policys. I found all this out when talking to my State Farm agent after I almost burned my garage down.

If you want to read the newspaper clip... here it is... You can read about how I though someone was robbing me, and answered the police officers knock on the door with a 9mm in my hand and my guard dog in the other.  http://www.postandcourier.com/news/2009/may/25/garage_engulfed83553/
