Meh! So what??

Maybe he had a headache or a blazing row with his wife? Maybe he was hating his job this weekend? Maybe he was remembering his last trip to Miller?

Either way he's still an incredible racer and by all accounts usually pretty affable off track. It's not like there aren't plenty of other racers who are complete dickheads in and out of leathers. I for one hope like hell he wins this year, of all the guys out there he deserves it. Spies will be in GP's next year what does he care?

A guy who doesn't appreciate his blessing of talent nor the fortune of where he is in life is not someone whom I think deserves to be where he is, and certainly not the championship. Being a bit of an ass to those who are actively seeking his autograph, pictures and what not indicates to me that he's not grateful to his position. Great talent and skill yeah, but I'll never be a fan of his.

Spies, on the other hand, maybe not Mr. Personality but at the very least I witnessed him smiling, waving and talking to others. That guy has a very bright future, focused, determined but still personable to those who appreciate him. And Fabrizio can't even speak English and he was fully engaged.

How can you possibly judge and condemn a guy you've never actually met and only observed from afar for 10 or 20 minutes in total?

Media personalities on gossip shows do it all the time...

I agree...notice he hasn't pulled out any clown wigs for his podium appearances at all?...or any of the other goofy stuff he used to do?

I offer a slightly different idea as to maybe what was up his rice cooker...maybe he was annoyed that his son was spending too much time with "The Ben" or something?...just a radically weird idea with no basis for it...just tossing it out there...

Or maybe he just didn't like the way Rotten Randy was looking at him?

I can only form an opinion based on my personal experiences, just like everyone else. He ignored everybody. It wasn't like he was being hounded by people at all. It was a fairly relaxed atmosphere and he simply ignored everybody. Every other racer I came across that weekend was the exact opposite of him.

There's a reason why Rossi is so popular and it's not just his 8 championships.

I think Haga was really depressed because Ralph Sheehan kept misprouncing his name and Kiyonari. Speed's coverage was crap - they had either too few cameras or the cameramen were drunk/incompetent.
