UPDATE:

The ride is now set for Sunday morning, June 22.

UPDATE to the UPDATE:

New Start Time: meet at 9:00, leave at 9:30
New Meeting Place: Starbucks on 2499

Here's a link to the Starbucks - it's two minutes to the north of BPShttp://tinyurl.com/5jw7nu

Meet at the Bass Pro Shops parking lot in Grapevine (it's the part of the parking lot that faces D/FW).  We will all leave together from there at 9:30.

It is one hour or so before the first fuel stop in Decatur, then another hour or so into Muenster.  It will be the same route we took last in the Fall last year.

I hope everyone can make it - should be a great day  waytogo

Here's a list of people going so far (as of June 13th):

Lisa
Scott
Brian
Jim
Chris
Will
Barry
James
Alan D.
Billy (+ guest)

Well O.K. then, it's time for another Muenster Run.  The last one was a blast; we had over a dozen Ducatis (and one green bike...  laughingdp ).  I'm looking at the calendar and the rest of the weekends in May are already spoken for so we're into June

Here are the dates that work for me:

Saturday June 7
Sunday June 15
Sunday June 22
Sunday June 29

What date works best for you?  We'll try and plan it so that the most people can attend.

We'll also do a split-group section for a portion of the ride like we did last year with one group for the "Touring" folks (me  Grin ) and another group - "Sport" - for those that prefer an extra dollop of adrenaline with their ride.  The remainder of the ride will be like last year; at the speed limit or 5 over.

So, there's something for everyone, woo-hoo!  Try and make plans to attend: it's a full day of moto fun with your friends; German food, great bikes, and some great country back roads (O.K. maybe not 'great' but at least scenic  laughingdp

Let's tentativley say that we'll meet in Grapevine at 9:30am (leave at 10), and be back in the metroplex by 4 or 5pm.

IT'S TIME TO RIDE!

Achtung baby! I'm in. I will be out of town Monday/9th - Friday/13th so I'm for Saturday the 7th or the next Sunday the 15th. I agree with Scott, pray for a dry day and a seasonally cool one! Hell, it's supposed to be 97 today! Looking forward to this, nothing like a good group spin with a tasty pastrami and kraut "sami" and a hard to pronounce beer for lunch in German town! Hmmm, maybe a plate of brats... I've heard brats are good for 10mph on top end. Kinda like Patrick's Xerox sticker kit! [moto]

i *should* be okay with any of these weekends, i think.  we'll need to send out a sweeper crew with some pushbrooms on that one stretch of road with all of that gravel this time around.

I'll keep an eye out on this thread.  I'm sure I'll be able to go, but not sure of my weekends yet

I'd forgotten about that section of road. CJ's right... painful! Spent all my time watching Cory's 190 rear tire spew rocks at me like a M249 squad automatic that never ran dry! They all seemed to hit me square in the knee! Not one dinged off my boots... all in the knees. Good aim Cory! laughingdp

I'm staying waaaaay in the back of the sport group this time.  If I get hit on the knees with those huge rocks again, I'm going to start strangling people.   Roll Eyes

I'm in as long as it's a Sunday.  waytogo

I'm gonna test out this "cool vest" I got last week if it's hot. It's one of those blue "bullet proof" looking things with ice pack pockets on the inside and a hydration pack in the back. Makes me look really fat in an Aerostich suit, but at least I'll be cool.... Cool Grin I couldn't pass up such a nice deal on it. It lists for $189. I got it for $50. Smiley
