It's been too long since I've ridden Tam with the Ducati-folk, so next Saturday SUNDAY it's on like Donkey Kong.

Meet at 8:00ish  Get caffinated, fueled and relieved whatever else you need to do to be ready to roll...
Stands up 8:43am PSAT&TT (that's pacific standard at&t time according to my mobile)

An is the plan. Basics are north on Shoreline North to Panoramic Hwy back to Hwy 1.  Continue North on Hwy 1 with stops in Pt Reyes & Bodega Bay at least.  Your input will help determine the final route.  Deviants with restraints are welcome.  Should you need to deviate from the route due to time restraints, you're also welcome.

The pace is your own.  No exceptions (see rule 1 below).

There are only three rules:
  • Don't crash
  • Don't be a dick
  • Let someone know if you're leaving

FAQs:

I'm a newb.  Can I come on this ride? - Sure.  As long as you know and respect your limits, have the basic skill set to ride twisties comfortably on your own already, and can follow three simple rules...

I'm a complete noob.  Can I come on this ride? - No.  You're a complete noob.  Stay home and learn how to ride.

What kind of gear do I need? - Full gear is preferred, but you won't be turned away for a little less.  If you only have a helmet, you should spend the day shopping for gear.

I have a friend that doesn't ride a Ducati.  Can he come? - This isn't the HA...  Any bike is welcome as long as it passes tech inspection.

There's a tech inspection? - No not really, but if your bike is crashed out and/or looks like it isn't going to make it the whole ride, you should spend the day fixing your scooter.

Is there anything I should bring? - Your paperwork (M1, insurance, reg) in case you get pulled over, some cash if you want anything to eat when we stop & some plastic for petrol.

What if I don't have all my paperwork? - Stay home and work on getting it.

Why can't I come if I'm a complete noob; My only gear is a helmet; my bike is mechanically unsound; or I don't have a license, registration and insurance?  I thought you said there were only three rules... - Those things all violate rule 2.

Is there any other advice you can give me? - Yes.  Quit asking so many questions, it makes you look like a complete noob...

ummm isn't it considered Indecent Exposure, which might land you in jail if you just show up with a helmet?

I might go, depending on my schedule. I'm kinda fatigued out from Saturday. If I recover by Friday night I will attend.

It might, unless it's the annual Vampires Naked Ride... Hope you're rested up by the weekend.

After my 1102 miles in 21 total hours Iron Butt ride I have sworn off the straight and narrow (and especially the straight and 6 to 8 lanes wide).  More recently, steady diet of Skaggs for three weeks has been just what the doctor ordered.   drink

I originally had Saturday free and plans on Sunday, but since it looks like Sunday is going to be the better riding day those plans can get flipped.  Priority =  [moto]

Unless things change dramatically, things are switched to Sunday.

You're always welcome 'Belle.  The rides I attend further north have no rules.  Let's just say I have learned to watch my mirrors and guard my kill switch...  laughingdp

Good luck with your ride, big guy.  You gotta post up more often.  Hope to ride with you again soon, but not this weekend.  Keep the shiny side up.   [moto]
