I receive periodic emails from Women Riders Now, and this week's email focused heavily on motorcycle safety and awareness. With cell phones and all of the other distractions that today's busy life has to offer, I think everyone can probably agree that conditions on the road continue to get worse all the time as far as drivers being mindful of their surroundings and the individuals they share the road with.
This morning I took it upon myself to send the below email to a number of my coworkers with the hope that they would pass it on to people they know to help spread awareness about motorcycles. I've never started a chain email, but this is something I feel strongly about and hope that maybe you'd be willing to do the same.
The link in my email is meant for car drivers, but the website has other good resources as well.
As a soon to be solo rider that currently enjoys motorcycling with my boyfriend and who also has a very, very large circle of friends who ride I ask you to please take a minute and follow this link. Forward it on to people you know to increase motorcycle awareness so that I, along with my friends and fellow motorcyclists, can make it home safely the next time we ride. Remember, motorcyclists have families too. I’ve never started chain mail but I really feel strongly about this – please share the road and spread the word!
