+1. I would think that you would need some tail lights etc?

Also, would it actually be legal here? My guess is no, considering you need to register trailers and the like...

I know it may be out there waiting for damage to happen but for those of us who have
very limited space for a trailer it is an interesting way to get your bike to the track.

It would be good to have an extra set of tail lights to hang off the back end just for further safety

I think there's is something like that that's road legal here - I saw one at the Motorcycle Show a few years back...

My concern with them (apart from the fact that you _should_ be riding the bike, not towing it) is the mileage and wear you'd get on the bike while towing - with the rear wheel on the ground, unless you pull off the chain you're not only spinning the wheel, but the output shaft in the gearbox too which means al the constant mesh gears are going around, and as I understand it the gearbox is intended to be "splash lubricated", where oil flinging off the turning crank is the main source of gear lubrication. That "Be sure to check with your dealer and read your owner's manual to be sure your bike will not be damaged towing in neatural." would, I'm sure, get you laughed at by any manufacturer other than Harley with their separate engine and gearbox oil systems.

In a word - no.

I can see how it would be convenient etc - but the paranoia it would generate in me would be far outweigh any of those benefits.
