All the Ducati's made the 1290SDR possible!

I knew what they are/were.  And for the record, I'd rock the hell out 'em!!!   waytogo

Have you ever ridden one?   Just for the record.   Grin

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw that—it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Actually that's not too bad. When they made the Benly 250 & Benly 305 they set a new standard in ugly. Those bikes guaranteed the success of the CB/CL72 and the CB/CL77.

And I bet everyone else here has to do a Google search to even know what Gene & are talking about.

I didn't know the name, but I recognize the bike.  I'd have one in the garage, assuming a massive multiplex-like garage.

Actually if you ever rode on of the things you'd be underimpressed. They were something in the mid sixties but only because they actually started and ran and were easier to obtain & maintain than Triumphs and BSA's. Hindsight blindsight nostalgia.

Definitely good for that. They were good, don't get me wrong. Slower than the Yamahas though but still way better than those Aermacchi's that people get all warm & misty over.

I think it's supposed to be this Sat. Doubtful that I will make it but you can never tell. I seem to recall swearing off Sat rides due to the low participation and the history of sitting in traffic. That and Sat is usually the day I work on the bike(s) but I would like to get out & meet some new folks too.
