Christ.  You're defending calling someone a thief, with no evidence.

Never mind.

Hey Speeddog, Painter, Bigiain, do you think this is fair to the parts guy?   Do you see any reason to label the guy a possible thief?

NAKID

Has anyone actually called the guy a thief? Most people say "it looks fishy" or "this sounds stolen". NO ONE KNOWS FOR SURE, hence why we "think" it might be stolen. As for the prices being too high for it to be stolen, maybe he's not your typical make a quick buck thief. Maybe he actually knows what he has and knows what the market will bear. Thieves can't do research?

Lighten up, everyone.

from an admin position I thought of moving this to parts for sale section, but as nobody here is looking to buy or looking to sell it was just a 'sit around and talk about it' sort of post.  I tried to steer it away from where it went early on with my comment in a polite way.

from a personal position, I think whether intended or not, it comes across as a little craigslist boyscoutish.  If I lost a 1098 or I were shopping for plastic I'd be interested, but absent that I've got other things to keep me busy.

It's still buy a flounder a drink month

doesn't fly.

craigslist has the email anonymizer built-in.. you don't have to create a new alias for any reason.

yea, but some spammers just take the craigslist email, which directly forwards to YOUR email for a period of time, and bomb the shit out of it on a daily basis with cheap viagra knockoff emails...

i had zero spam in my inbox until i posted something up on CL... Now i have shit daily...
Blows.

the craigslist alias dies when the ad dies or you remove the ad.

i use the same email for CL postings and have very little spam issues -- have used the same email for years.

If you are getting viagra bombing then remove the ad -- alias dies immediately.

have you ever emailed someone on CL and never gotten a response back? it could of been a post to collect emails, thats how most of them work, except you reveal your email and get continously bombed.

and corndog, i only have 2 posts on this thread, and i think the 2nd one is pretty clear on my intentions. Jbubble never defended anyone calling him a thief because NO ONE CALLED HIM A THIEF OUTRIGHT! [bang]

IMO i think the parts would be priced lower if stolen.  Also there seems to be parts from different bikes on there.  There are 2 fuel tanks and a ohlins rear from an "S" model and forks from a base model.  I don't think it's stolen.
