But getting to sit on an actual 2008 MotoGP bike was pretty cool. The cockpit wasn't all that cramped. The bars were super wide (you need leverage to turn a machine like that at 100mph+), and the pegs weren't as high as I thought they would be.

Makes sense.
I also noticed how obvious the pit lane speed governor buttons were. Huge green & red buttons on the right clip-on.
Another observation at Miller: the pit lane entrance is like 1/2 mile long...those guys kept bumping the rev limiter on entrances

It wasn't. They had a Fiat livery R6 nearby, but this was a real '08 M1...complete with carbon rotors, gas-charged forks, etc.
