So, I am probably a bit behind the times here and it doesn't quite make up for doing the real thing, but the PS2 died yesterday, so to shut my son up, I went & got a ecks bocks 360(that ecks key is still broken on my keyboard).

Anyway, some thoughts....
it's fun to play
my son now knows all the MotoGP racers, their countries, etc.
stoppies have never been easier
wheelies at Mugello...ahh, what a dream...

Just surprised at how fun it can be... clearly I need to get out for a ride !

I'm guessing it was a better deal than buying a PS3, I'm in the market for one soon.
Have been playing Moto GP 07 on the old PS2 lately, dam hard to be smooth especially playing manual

I'm sure you'll be a stunt champion pretty soon.
And speaking of rides you up for it next weekend then.

MotoGP 07 ona PS2 here...

Only recently been playing it (following the tracks at the 09 season develops where they are available - good to have a better understanding of the tracks)

Just recently moved to full simulation mode and manual shifting - Matty's right, it's all about being smooth...

And yeah, I've been also practicing my wheelies and stoppies!

Well OK, but I don't play to substitute for anything, but rather cause I enjoy it. Nothing deeper than that, I'm 'fraid.

Not sure what the  bang head was for?
Anyways, keep smiling  Smiley

last year was the first year on record that more games were purchased by and for girls than guys.

for ever MotoGP there are 10 singer/rockstar being sold.

My two nieces (14 and 16) outbuy me about 5 games to 1!

the gaming industry has been bigger than Hollywood for a few years now....and the release of Halo 3 bet every opening movie weekend in existence....

It's out there folks....society is just coming to grips with it that's all  Cool

Yes Spider I know how popular these things are - my 21yr old (boy) technician spends all on his time off playing it online with another (boy) technician across town (5 mins drive apart) then at shift changeover that is all they talk about. They play some aggressive role play game tho not MotoGP.  Then they wonder why they are tired, unfit and overweight and have no idea what's going on in the real world. I then have to spend 12 hours shifts with him and the last thing I want to talk about is xbox.

No idea what Halo3 is ?? ?? ??  And are you saying that only girls play the rockstar/singer games as I'm pretty sure the boys at work play the guitar one too.

Maybe I'm missing out by not having PS3 or 2 or Xbox or Wii or some sort of plug in (or wireless) life escaping instrument. Hang on I do have one  - it's sitting in the shed sulking at all the rain we've been having   [moto]laughingdp laughingdp laughingdp

Hey Mostro - how come you can buy a new xbox but not a new keyboard (or an X at least)?

Cause I think the key board is attached to a lap top.

As for the gaming thing, it's just a way of having some fun when there is no time to ride.
Riding is the best thing for sure but not all of us are like you and me free (enough in my case)
to say I'm out for a bit or a day for a ride.
Others have little kids and more to consider and their riding sometimes has to come second to that.
Doesn't mean gaming is a replacement it's just another way to enjoy bikes while your S/O is in the next room.

If it's a choice between the real deal and an online world I think you'll find all of us would choose the sound
and enjoyment of a V-Twin any day.

Wish I could go riding Matty.  Too damn cold and wet down here.  Only going to be 8oC tomorrow  Cry Cry Cry  Can't even go and take photos to play with HDR - too damn wet for the digital camera and the batteries are not liking the cold either.

Don't think I like winter very much and we've only had a week of it so far.

Look guys I was just having a friendly little dig - please don't take me so seriously.  I'm sure if you all had serious xbox addiction problems you certainly wouldn't be spending any time on the forum and you probably wouldn't be married still either.

And that is all I am going to say on the subject.  So there  Tongue

No prob Heather.
Not a great winter fan either but at least when it is dry and sunny like the week is supposed to be up here
you can get out when it permits.

Besides Winter is a great time for Mods..........
And you love Mods eh......

Me thinks you need a project for when the rain is falling.
How about cleaning up the zip tie affliction Monsters have or may be a Philips super bright globe if you don't already have one.
Can't remember from my mirrors if your light was usual Monster yellow or White hot.

Glad you guys are finally getting some rideable weather as you seem to have missed out big time lately.  [moto]

Ha ha yeah can you believe I still haven't changed the black cable ties over to red.  As for lights - I have a Spider special import headlight globe.  Other mods, hmn as much as I like tail chops/tidy I won't do it as I ride in the rain way too much.  Only other mods I can think of is my reservoir lids are corroding (Ducmiester hasn't got back to me yet on alternatives) and I just have to do something about my mirrors. And the poor girl could do with a damn good clean.  So anything else I should do??

Other hobbies are taking up my time a fair bit.  I'm pretty busy with studying and teaching english.  I sit in on and assist with classes when I can and I have a lovely Vietnamese couple visit me for lessons as often as we can manage.

Hmn, still waiting for a wog boy. Does Latvian count - my dentist is Latvian and I've got an appointment next fortnight??  Cry

Bazz sorry mate can't take any grief from others I'm too much of a peace lover. Hey we're getting snow tomorrow too down to 500m - looks like winter is well and truly here. Was only a fortnight ago I was taking the long way home cos the weather was soooo good.
