I think this one is still a little bit too high....a tad bit lower and it'd be perfect.

Hey everyone, thanks for the positive responses.  I am having them made for my company, Miami Moto Works.  We are in the process of becoming a sponsor here.  The cowls that are presently ready are just the shells.  We will have the cowl with storage ready in a short time, just working out the details of the storage compartment.  We will also be coming out with some other very interesting products for the monster.  I am working out the pricing for these cowls without storage right now.  My original idea was to do a group buy on them.  Everyone's thoughts on this are appreciated.

I sincerely apologize for the delay on these.  I am in the process of opening my shop while creating products and it is very hectic.  Here is the update on these pieces.  I am redesigning them as I am not happy with the current product or design.  While the overall idea was on target, I am selling these under my name so they need to be up to my standards.  In my opinion, they will have a more fitting shape to the lines of the Monster.  I am also in the process of becoming a sponsor here so I go about this the proper way.  I will have a final product by Friday, September 18.  I will post progress pictures as soon as I have them.  Again, sorry for the delay.

Sorry to steal you away from the cowl stuff but....any idea how much lower the bike is than stock?  I have a short wife and i am sick of hearing her complain that a monster is too tall and can never be lowered enough.  She tried a 696 with lowered seat and it was close-ish.  Thanks you

that is all

Grandpa Nate, the bike was about 5 cm lower.  Was having problems hitting the exhaust so raised it up a little bit a few days ago and problems have disappeared.  Be sure to lower front and rear evenly to avoid problem with the suspension geometry.  If you need any other help, feel free to ask.  I was very meticulous with this and it paid off as other than the exhaust, the bike rode and handled like it did from the factory.

So...yeah...epic failures on my resources for getting this fabbed so I'm doing it myself!!!  I've taken in the advice of others on here and started from scratch, well the OEM cover at least.  Anyways, attached is a picture showing the revised height of my soon to come seat cowl.  I had taken another side shot showing the profile but apparently my iPhone decided to delete it.  Will have a side pic by Sunday as I will be riding this wkd.  And yes, I do intend to finish these and have them available.  These will be up to MY standards, hence the reason why I have not told anyone anything previous to these; the first one showed was CRAP finish and the guy just couldn't make it how I wanted it.  Let me know your thoughts.

This pic looks a little more rounded than the finished product, I intend on following the original cowl's lines.

Would love to do a 696 rear cowl.  I would need a donor cowl to start with though.  The lender would be compensated of course.
