If it's a 7am start at Mecca then yeah we should make it to Kirrawee Shell for 8am.
But then you know what us lot are like, blah blah blah............
So I think we'll aim for 8am but if it goes a bit beyond that at Mecca then expect us there a little
later than the projected time.

Matty I'm relying on you to be the time keeper to keep the day moving...
no talk of bling for you.... wait, who am I kidding...

So we have

Mecca:
Craigo
goldFish
Matty
Dock

Kirrawee:
Andy55
Serious Grouper + 1
Bigmic

Bald Hill:
Ducmonrob
Monstermick (90%)

Burrawang Village Hotel:
Ducsport

People for the afternoon run:
Matty
Dock (unless he gets too cold)
goldFiSh (despite organising it, is only 50% as I may have to motor it home for an evening event)
Ducsport
others who feel like it!

no word from Bigiain, Zee, Steph etc, but 1 - or 11 confirmed is still a pretty decent group for 1 weeks notice!

Looking forward to it!

I shall bring my big Watch to keep us on the move.

I think Bigmic was coming to Mecca also, in any case we'll see him there in the morning.
Looking forward to it.
Put a little more bling on tonight also........

Sorry guys we won't be able to make it  Tongue. Probably a good thing as we would have had to leave home about 5am. Obviously we are still a long way from home  Cry

.... as for chilly .... snow-capped Italian Alps anyone? Grin (well we could see them anyway)

Home after a chilly day in the saddle, well not too bad but just cold hands and trouble pulling the levers
toward the end of the day.
As usual there is a bunch of snaps on the Oz Monsters Flickr page.
Great to meet Hope and Glen (a.k.a. Serious Groper). No problems with your bike SG she steers and feels fine to me.
Hope me thinks you need to invest in a neck warmer and maybe some battery heated socks and gloves, oh and don't buy
a Gixer buy an 848 you'll have some much more fun.

Great day riding overall, tops Hotel at "where again" Mick you rock through Broughton's Pass, you disappeared like we were
going backward.

Here's a snap of one of the ring in's Rob's other bike.

Well immortalised Matty, as always. Annoyed I didn't get to see Dock's PS in the flesh, it looks tops. Anyway, there's always next time...ducsport

Thanks for a great ride today, it was good to meet more of the members on here.

The bike finally felt good, the Aprilia was going ok but needs a new TPS (thankyou warranty). Matty, thanks for the tip on the road back to Bowral, it was a nice road to cruise through and with scenary like that i could have sworn i was in England, the weather definitely felt like it!

Can't wait for the next ride  [moto]

Glad you all had a great day,was pretty cold until the sun came out.Great pics Matty.those rims sure look good in the light good to see another chick on the ride oil burner and all and Rob how could you ? dam belt drives, don't the bottom of you feet get cold on that Huh? come on all...... you roasted me for the japper look what Rob's got  Angry

My day turned out pretty good as well ended up at Eastern Creek  Grin To watch some racing  waytogo

After a big fall by 2 1098's, on turn 9 one of them ended up in my workshop for some emergency surgery welding and grinding until 9pm to get it together again.

Turned out the owner of the bike is the ohlins distributor for SA.Guess what he will be tuning next  [laugh]anyway Got the 1098 finished and they were as happy as can be ,he was running second in the series and not running this round would almost put him 4th.

Noticed the RC8r WOW what a machine Shannon Johnson doing 1:32 on it  Shocked
hosing all the field,Hey Matty is that a KTM dealer on the Princes Hwy cheeky

Sure is a KTM dealer, Highway Bikes I think they are called.
I think Rob gives himself more than us for the Hardly Davidson, but he did say his Missus was supposed to
be "Cup Caking" with him but thinks the seat is too hard.
There is a seed planted already as he is talking about trading both bikes, some $40k's worth on something really special.
There was mention of the Street Fighter S I had told him about some of the specials Frasers are doing.
I think I saw 1098s Tri Colore for $33-$35 ride away, there are also 1098-R's for $45k I think.

Wouldn't it be great to walk into the bike and trade $40k's worth for something that is $7k less and ask them to top it up
with $7k's worth of bling before it leaves the floor!

As to the ride, love the S4Rs just has grunt to do anything you want.
I was still barely using half throttle compared to the track, so I know how much it has to go.
First time up the pass was in the lead with Uncle Chop Chop behind me, I kept him reasonably honest
though I could still hear him right up my tail chop. Still I was happy  Grin

Second time (yes we went up twice, like having two shags in a day) it was much easier till we coped a tourist bus  bang head
Didn't spent too much time behind it, Uncle Chop Chop was leading and I was on the follow again  Grin

The run home I was well tired, sore hands from the recent work I've been up too plus the cold was making it difficult to pull the clutch.
Tops day though, excellent turn out for a weeks notice as said by Goldfish. Guess you could tell we were all hanging
for a day out, it has been some time since we'd had a group ride.
Will do another one again soon. Maybe when it warms up a little hey!
