exhaust envy.

I am very happy with my m695, it has the open air box/termi exhaust, but then i heard a friends 696 with the same setup. The exhaust sounded so much nicer, the bikes weren't side by side, but the 696 sounded meaner..... whats the deal? Did the termi design change the sound, or is it the extra power? Both had the silencers out. Anything i can do to make my bike sound more like the 696?
thanks.

just a different bike.... different pipe routing, different back pressure, different can shape... a lot of factors play into it...
your bike LOOKS better (IMO)

Clearly you did not read the specs.. The 696 has 30% more meanness than the 695.

give 'em a listen side by side.
I never thought much of how my bike sounded (I only ever hear it while I'm riding it) until a buddy wanted to take it for a spin 'round the block...
"holy, crap! that's MY bike?"

I wouldn't say the 696 sounds meaner, but it does sound better. I think it's due to the smaller cans.

Dude, didn't I tell you before? That wasn't your bike you heard, it was the after-effect of the buritos I had the night before.
All over your seat.
