Ok so I dont get it. Are you being sarcastic? Do you really love monsters and you think that has turned you into this person. Or are you saying that ducatisti are somewhat similar to the sterotypical Harley riders? Personally I believe that it would be hard to find many people on this forum with some of those charateristics, let alone any. That being said, yeah I like my bike.

I think, from time to time some of us, me included, are a little guilty as charged. Even if so, this forum is soooo much more valuable than what the OP suggests.

Speaking of which, where's "the ron"?  when he wasn't bashing my bike he was actually making some pretty interesting posts.

He was permanently banned a while ago - the interesting posts didn't quite equal out his need for "free speech".

252,000 km/seventeen years - loving it

we've all been a little guilty of some of the ducati vs other brands snobbery. but many have or had other bikes as well. i know for my personal being. i have ONE piece of ducati riding gear, a rain gear overjacket, that was given to me. i find the safest cheapest gear i can so i can spend more money on parts :D

How do you like your 675?

The 675's are a better bike than the monsters seriously... hey, atleast we can get parts in a week or less not 3-4 weeks from Italy... geeeeezzz LOL !  [popcorn]

oh and if we crash the 675 and break our instrument panel it doesn't total out the bike.  [coffee]

Maybe you need a better instrument panel.
Red 696- You can call her Isabella.

I learned a long time ago not to bother hanging out somewhere I didn't like.   Takes some people longer I guess.

If everyone here is such a jerk, why do you stay?   Needing a bit of attention are ya?   People who realy ride and don't care what other people think don't post long rants so everyone else knows what they think.    ;D

It's still buy a flounder a drink month

lots of forum members have several different brands of bikes too.   Don't see why we should be limited to liking one type.   Happy to discuss the pros and cons (to me) of the various bikes I've owned.   Huge difference between poking fun of friends in good fun about what they ride versus actually spewing bullshit generalities.

This is what I have learned what it takes to be a true Monster lover in the 5 years of being a watcher of the Ducati Monster forums...

People who hang out and watch 'the scene' without taking part remind me of the the Eunuchs that guarded the sultan's harem in days of old:

They know how it's done. But they don't understand why it's done, and they certainly can't do it themselves.

I own several motorcycles. I have owned lots of motorcycles. And have bolted and/or modified lots of crap to said motorcycles...

Statler

Yup...this community has sucked for you and you get nothing out of it:     http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=4213.0

what's with the bashing now?

Figured as much, but never saw it stated... i was actually hoping it would only be a year long ban (the month long didn't make a dent) and that by now he may have cooled his jets on his hate of the 696 et. al.

Yes, i understand that. I'm not dense...  not entirely sure you can say the same.
