The included LED license plate light just doesn't illuminate my plate well enough.
I know I am going to get stopped  Police for it.
I'm looking at the Black LED Tag Bolts shown here;
http://www.customdynamics.com/illuminatorz_licence_plates.htm

Anyone got any suggestions?

Don't know abut being stopped for these but I have these led bolts on my plate and I got an inspection sticker. They're not that bright but they do light up the top half of my plate.

I had some custom dynamics led strips that were well made.  I did NOT have very good luck w/ another brand of tag bolts; one burned out after a few weeks.  I have a similar light strip from Radiantz http://www.radiantz.com/cart/index1.html?c17.html&1 A bit cheaper, but it's chrome.  Take some 600 grit sandpaper to it, and it will look like brushed stainless.  It's lights the plate well, and is very low profile.
