Anyone catch the AMA flattrack race on speed before the 250 race today? Larry Pegram was running a Duc amongst all the Harley's. I was trying to figure out which bike it was. Sport Classic maybe?

The Springfield weekend was also noteworthy for the amount of AMA Pro Road Racing riders who took up the challenge of the Memorial Day weekend Flat Track classic. The list included Larry Pegram who made history by putting a stock framed Ducati into the Grand National Singles Main for Ducati Foremost / Lloyd Brothers Racing.

I'll tell ya...the way he dove that Sport Classic in for the 4th position in Heat 2 was amazing...good shots of the races I thought...made me appreciate alot more fully the stuff I was just practising in terms of flattrack and motard techniques for roadracing at Cornerspin a couple weekends ago!!!...good stuff!...though I did hink Willie G Davidson was a lil biased for an common man on he street opinion...LOL.

I am betting twolanefun-Gene was there and can give a different perspective on things from his POV.

http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=24075.0, pictures are on Ducati.net Next race is down at Bulls Gap, TN. I'll be there - great ride from No. VA, staying in Bristol, probably going to take one of the Vics this time. - Gene
