Autobahn feeling: returning home from a trip to Italy, after 2 hours in a traffic jam, the road opening up from 2 lanes to 5, going 195kph uphill in the left lane (4 others were slower). Then seeing a Porsche in your rear view mirror tailgating; trying to tell you to move your slow ass out of the way.

That's a dillemma all drivers have, autobahn or not. Should you have to slow way down by moving over into a lane slower than your current speed, just so another driver behind you can go faster?

Obviously, the "stay right except to pass," rule is clearcut when staying right is no hardship to do, but if technically you were in the process of passing cars in all the four lanes to your right, were you obligated to move over for the Porsche?

yes as soon as possible. turn your right blinker on so the porsche knows you are attempting to move over.

Well I did move over right after I passed the car to my right. What I meant to say is sometimes you think you're going fast but when something like that happens you know it's all relative.

for sure. nothing like getting past like you are standing still by a testarossa while you are doing 135mph in a BMW
