Looking to get some closeup detail pics of Rizoma Rearsets for the DSS generation Monsters.

My bike is a 99, and I'm looking to compare visually the differences, if any, of the mounting locations of the newer DSS Monsters (2000+, 2002+). Both sides would be helpful. I am aware that the sidestand mounting has changed over the years, looking to see how it all goes on the bike, and there aren't closeups of the sets installed on the Rizoma site, nor on PJ's.

Again, looking for pics on a 600/620/695/750/800/900/1000/S4 Monster. Don't need pictures of the S*R or 696/1100 because they are completely different.

The pictures, like beer: The more, the merrier.  [thumbsup]

These the ones?

What would ScoobyDoo?

Not quite, though those are pretty slick. They do mount to the oil sump like the set I'm talking about though:

I need pics of these installed.

Here's a shot of the right side. Unfortunately that's the only detail pic I have on hand.

I can take a few more shots tomorrow if you need them. Any area specifically you want detailed?

Both of those last posts were spot on. I do need a shifter side pic - especially where it connects to oil sump.

Also, it looks like it would be pretty easy to remove the shifter and con-rod - is that so? I currently run reverse shift.

I'm looking to see if I can make these 2000+/2002+ rearsets work on my '99.

Thanks for the pics, it helps a ton.

Woohoohoohoo! Two personal records! For breath holding and number of sharks shot in the face.

Markus,

Your picture helps the most because your bike is also a hooped swingarm, like mine.

Pretty please, take a few pics up close and of the other side for me! I might even mail you a beer (just ask Brian at Motowheels if you don't believe me).

No prob. I'll take a few more pics this afternoon and upload them for you when I'm home from work.

I accept all manner of payment for services rendered, but I like beer the most [thumbsup]

1. Camera - check
2. Head to dad's for Father's Day dinner (conveniently also where Monster is stored) - check
3. Take detail pics of Rizoma rearsets - check
4. Get home and upload pics to computer - ah, dammit! :-[ I left my uplink cable in my office.

I'll post those pics for you in the morning. Sorry ato.

Sounds great!  No problems - just want to make sure I have my bases covered when it comes time to call up PJ and let him know I'm going to be experimenting.

I see no discernible differences in the set up of my bike (now that I have the newer style sidestand and mount) and your bike in regards to the rearset mounting points, on the brake side, save the floating caliper bracket (mine is mounted at 12' with an 888 style billet mount - so that style mount is not possible)

i can be patient to make similar deductions about the clutch side!

Hopefully Markus has some better ones for you tomorrow...

Thanks, that does help too though - you guys have been helpful (also Scooby too, because his bike is fun to look at)

One of the pics I need most is almost shown in BK's pic, the lower mounting point of the shifter-side rearset. It looks like it goes in the hole just aft of the sidestand bracket. I want to verify that's true and that everything looks the same on my set up.

I'm nearly certain that these are the same on...all Ducati air cooled motors (except possibly the most recent 696 generation and the SSS bikes) - and it appears that the frame tabs are in the same relative position, even though they went from the 888 frames to the ST frames - and if I had a newer Monster (like the 695, thanks BK!) I could simply whip out a tape measure or compare the two stock rearsets.

This whole lot of shenanigans comes about by the inconsistent listing from Rizoma as to which Monsters these rearsets will fit. It used to include 99's. Then it was 2000+, however I've seen some websites list it as 2002+. The only thing I can think of that changed from 99 to 2000 on the M900 is the sidestand, and fuel injection. Whether that means a different oil sump or mounting hole location is currently unknown to me. If it looks like the only real difference in regards to the Rizoma rearsets is the sidestand, well, I've "updated" my bike to the newer style.

And if all these questions are resolved, I'll contact PJ and let him know I need a set, and what to update the product listing with if such sidestand will work (including the Ducati OEM part # for the newer sidestand / kickstand assembly).

This one better?

The shiny allen buttonhead bolt on the sidestand attachment was providided by Rizoma.

At least some of the fitment listings might have something to do with the rear brake master.  I had to make some minor modifications to the parts so it would work for me.

I can't comment on the early/late OE rearset differences, no FHE there.
