Not saying he wasn't odd and/or a bit "queer".

Just a lot of people wanting a piece of the pie.  Sadly, it'll happen again after his death.

You can't deny the man was a musical genius ( and I don't use that term lightly )  and an absolute cultural icon.  His influence has greater breadth and depth in contemporary music than most people even realize.

I don't see any reason to change my personal opinion of a public figure simply because he's no longer alive.   It's not like he cares what I think now....or last year when his heart was beating for that matter.

when someone is alive, there is a chance for them to defend it in some way or fashion.

Anyhow, if that's your cup of tea, then indeed you are correct who am i to say anything.
