Even if it's a fake or "never gonna happen" I would rather try than not.

Will the petition itself cause change? No.

The petition could affect elected representatives who want to keep their jobs, though.  Not a lot of work to sign it, so why not?

Why is it so easy for the NY city to single out the motorcycling community? Because the bulk of us seem to care so little about standing up for our rights.

Just curious, but what in particular are you referring to? How is not having moto-specific spots singling out the community? Not trying to argue, just trying to see where you're coming from.

Over the years, particularly under the Bloomberg administration, the small ammount of motorcycle parking we had is dissapearing.  I won't mention the ticket blitz against motos or not allowing motos to use HOV lanes spite of federal  mandate.  Never mind, I just did.

I knew about the ticket blitz, but was unaware of the parking disappearing parking. Hmmm... Undecided

I am reminded of this: http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/petition/internet.asp

Who is that petition specifically addressed to and at what point in time was it (will it be) sent anyway?

Better to just write a few letters, if you really want any attention.

Now there are 3035 signatures  Grin  Is there anyway of getting this out to a border audience. Anyway of leaving signing sheets at dealer's around the city ? I will go to the ones in Brooklyn as there are 2 not to far from my house. I am all about motorcycle parking. Bloomberg with the new bicycle thing, I heard he got that idea from a visit to Paris, but what I do not understand is why didn't he seem to care about the motorcycle/scooter community. There is parking everywhere there, but there is 1,000's of more motorcycles/scooters there and they ride all year around. I feel we still see motorcycling as a seasonal sport and so it really isn't taken seriously. They could still do us a favor and make seasonal parking.
