Now that sounds like a real tough day at work!!

For us civilians that would cost an arm and a leg to pump that much lead through 2 guns!!

I guess I'll have to result to the .22LR conversion for my M4 to compensate for lack of buying a ton of 5.56 rounds

No lie. I just spent ~$130 on 350 rounds of .380.

And that's actually a pretty good deal.  [bang]

sigh.

I bought a 22lr conversion (Marvel - nice quality) for my 1911 three years ago (Fall '08 I think) or so ago so I could still play at the range longer while spending less. Also, its a hoot at the farm.

I can reload close to 1000 rounds of .45acp for that money :o

I have the same problem when buying .32 for my Keltec and Beretta.

I've shot both guns twice, enough to be proficient at a close range as that is all that weapon is good for.

After that, it gets cleaned and ready for use if necessary and of course will get shot a few times a year to keep up with proficiency.

I bought the AR-15 22LR from Ciener back in the Fall. First time I assembled it, the round would not chamber properly. So of course I send back to Ciener along with my lower and finally another 6wks later, I get it back, but at that point I just had shoulder surgery and shoot off my bad wing, so I couldn't use it yet.

Can't wait to blow some rounds through it this weekend. I just wish my speedloader for my 25rnd 10/22 mags would fit this one.

The Kahr 40 I play with is also crazy thin. My 1911 wears thin grips, full size frame, and 4" barrel. Conceals very well, but then again, I'm a large mammal.

check out their .45 models.  they need to do an all metal frame, but 1.01 inches is pretty damn slim.

i have an original E9.  I would put it up against any of their metal 9s.  Very reliable.  I might go back to carrying it.

Metal vs plastic?  I shoot both, but it's just a bias.   I've had two kabooms in my life and one on a metal-framed gun.  The plastic frame disintegrated and I was left with a nasty scar in my hand.  Then again, it was an AP9.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Don't feel too bad...it took me a YEAR to even find a single box of 380 in a store.  I ended up finding a box of remington golden saber HPs at gander mountain, and it was $50 for a box of 50  >:(  After I said "I'll take it" the phone rang at the counter...it was a guy looking for 380 ammo  [roll]

I know that feeling! When I lucked into two cheap WWB at WalMart, it felt like I'd hit the lottery.

My wife has a Para Ordinance single stack 1911 (pls correct me if I am wrong)

unfortunately, it is being held captive, along with her hunting rifle and mossberg pistol grip scatter gun at her Mom's house in Florida.

In regards to the Para, it is a single stack 1911.

Good gun?

She said she loved it and would love to buy her a replacement one. However, it's probably an expensive piece.

What is the overlying issue with them?

I think the reason why she settled on that particular piece is because it fit her hand really well.

That is why she also likes glocks, they seat right in her hand.

She only can shoot .45 cal guns; she sucks with any other caliber. It is pretty odd.

Her ex-brother in-law is Dave Sevigny. If anyone is into shooting, they know that name. She learned to shoot from him.
