Nice purchase pennyrobber, the FiveseveN is a fun gun to shoot.  The commercialy available rounds are dialed back quite a bit, check out www.eliteammunition.net for some hotter reloads.

And if you leave that G19 in the glove box make sure you lock it up in there.

Only time it would stay in the glove box is if we stop at a rest stop, get something to eat, etc. Always locked too. Not that the lock would do shit, but unfortunately, there are restrictions where sometimes you have to leave your gun(s) behind and that is the most "secure" spot in the passenger cabin (obviously if I am at a place for an extended time, it will be put in the trunk, stashed away.

I'd like to explore options of somehow to mount a little safe in my lexus to put my gun in while going in to certain locations where I am not allowed to carry.

I do my best at all times to secure my firearms with the best means possible if I have to leave it in my car. It sucks, but just a reality of life.

Thanks for the heads up. I have a few boxes of the 197sr sport rounds but I will definitely check out this site.

This is the best solution for leaving a pistol in the car

run the cable around the seat base.  the box is steel.  there are various versions of these, some with a key instead.

can't remove it unless you remove the seat.  Cutting the cable is hard to do unless you remove the seat if you mount it right.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Walther PP West German Post-WWII .380 cal

That's a nice gun.  My father-in-law offered to sell/give me his.  He hates it.  I thought I was going to love it.  I can't get my hands around it.  The gun is too darn small which is why he hates it.  It looks great though.

My Walthers gave me a terrible case of hammer bite on the web of my hand. Sure, standard hammer 1911s and Hi-Powers will do the same but damn those little PPKs can bite!!

That is perfect.

I just need to check if that would be in accordance with state law. It is written kind of weird when it comes to a loaded gun/transport, even though I have a permit.

I can only carry it concealed on my body or in my glovebox/center console.

It is odd.

I'll email you.

That sounds familiar.   :(

Wonder how I'd do with a PP/PPK. My Makarov, which is roughly the same size and shape of a PP doesn't give me any particular problems. After a long shooting session it will rub off skin on the edge of the knuckle of my thumb, but I've never gotten hammer bite.

Now my Sistema 1911 with the spur hammer. I can hardly shoot that make the beast with two backser... :P

If it's for personal protection sometimes there's not a lot of time to glove up. ;D But then again, did you ever hear about WWI or WWII soldiers pregnant doging about hammer bite from 1911s in the heat of battle? Didn't think so. [laugh] Or even German soldiers with Walthers? It's only for us weenies at indoor air conditoned ranges!! [laugh] [laugh] Probably wouldn't even notice it if ever fired in anger. Ed Brown/Bill Wilson have made a lot of money selling Commander hammers all these years for a good reason. [thumbsup]

I suppose you advocate hearing and eye protection as well

[roll]

Only if you like those body parts to work.  :D

Although if you carry a firearm for protection, you need to shoot it now and again without those protective measures, so
the day it happens for real you don't shit your pant's.  :D
