I paid $420

$398 online but I wanted to spend money locally and have local support.

Looks like a nice purchase! Ruger has a handgun assembly plant here in town. I'll tell my neighbor Angel that you like his work -- he's coming up on 20 years there.  [thumbsup]

Many of the pre-B's came over with soldiers returning.

This model has the LPA adjustable rear sight as stock from the factory.

The shop I got it from had a pre-B at the time. This one was in better shape and the prices were within a few bucks and this one came with 4 mags.

When my play money fund recovers I may just go see if it's still there.

i have a model 85, not the B models, the original with the blued finish and no firing pin block and czech mil front site.  very fun
