I just got back from NYC after spending two weeks there. (I live in Oregon... check out the NW board.)   Looks like I may be headed back in August. Any place to rent a ride and some gear? I was hoping to get out and see some things... and not just walk Manhatten every night.

AFAIK, no one offers that service in any of the 5 boroghs. Demo rides arent even allowed unless you have an AMEX they can pre charge.

This is probably about it, I have no experience with any of them.  Expect to pay a lot of money since insurance and rent are high here.

I used this place last summer when I rented a CBR 600rr.  It's a family business, and their main "thing" is 10 acres they own in the Pine Barrens and rent out ATV's for some backwoods thrashing.  They got into the motorcycle thing out of demand.

The bikes are in great shape, they are really good people to deal with, but they're not that easy to get to.  Fortunately, I know the pine barrens pretty well, and I know where they are.

Would I rent from them again?  Sure.  Do I need to?  Nope!  LOL!
