Stoner gets a hard time in the press, and that translates to people giving him shit. TBH I think the reason he gets a hard time in the press (and it almost exclusively the British press that seem to give him shit as well), is because it's easier for them to Aussie bash at Stoner's perceived sooking than wonder why the only rider they have in MotoGP is Toseland.

All of the top riders have that streak of perfectionism that makes them less than patient with anything that isnt up to scratch, or any person that aint doing their job. If that is wingeing then so be it. They are there to do a job and win arnt they?  

Remember he is the ONLY one that has been able to get anything out of that bike, that has to say something about his ability. The fact he is Australian is only secondary to me, I admire his talent and his determination to keep the Duc up the pointy end of the field with its obvious faults. .

Sorry pigmy, can't agree with you. Stoner is a legend. Anyone who can finish on the podium and then race to the garage for un upchuck cause he is so crook is hard as nails IMHO. And his wife is clear evidence of rampant hetrosexuality 

+1 on the pommie press being the main antagonists towards Casey. The pommie bike mags are no better, and its all sour grapes because there are so few decent pommie riders at world level. They have a really healthy local series in the BSB, but can't translate it into world champs. The poms even focus on the street racing circuit (IOM, Norwest 200 etc), but even then its not Englishmen that do well, only Aussies (again), Scots, Manxmen and the Irish. Serves them right for being so stupid they shipped their convicts out here and stayed back there in the rain.....ducsport
