Do you have one in the works for the 1100/696? plus. is the tank itself lighter?

Hey everyone,

I just saw this thread -- thanks for the props! That review (and the couple others on their way) will really help us with future R&D.

Some info, things, facts, and futures:
  • Our Monster Track Tank as seen at Laguna (and mentioned above) is ready and for sale for the carb'd bikes. But not for the injected bikes. I talk about that in the updated 4.3 gallon tank thread.
  • The efi metal tank would absolutely work on a monster with a nylon tank. But it's not bolt-on... you need the different tank mount, might need to redo the wiring connectors pins, and will need to rework the fuel connectors.
  • We are planning a future plastic tank with a "Monster shape" that will be compatible with all of the classic Monsters, with specific emphasis on increased capacity and be a reliable alternative to the nylon tanks. If we started our MTT tank with the experience we have now, it would be ready and much better.
  • We are not going to modify the MTT tank to work with efi bikes until our move is done and we have completed our next 3 tank projects. Our time and money are better spent on the next couple projects than putting it into the MTT mold.
  • We are acquiring engineering equipment to enable us to bring aspects of the design process in-house, which will speed development.
  • M696 / 1100: I'm not sure about need for a larger tank on these. We haven't heard much complaint with the range of the newest Monsters.
  • Yup, you heard right ... "move". We're looking for a larger location with more vertical warehouse space. Vending the HM tanks showed us the need for this extra storage space. Actually, I always wanted a forklift, and it's all an excuse to get one!

Thanks!

I have an idea.

Move your location to Bakersfield. You can triple you location space without adding to your lease costs.

And..... best of all..... you can hire me. I'm a hard worker.

laughingdp aw, man, if I'm going to go for moon-like location, for .40/sf, I can get over 5000' in Otay Mesa (close-ish to the border) for less than my current 2000 sq/ft.
