Bad relay replaced, now dead batt?
«

Hi, one of my relays was buzzing this morning when trying to start my bike - I went to the local moto shop and got a replacement. That one buzzed a bit when I first tried starting the bike, but it appears I was getting power to the lights on the dash, but the lights dimmed out quick like the battery was dead...
Do I just need to try giving this thing a jump or is there likely to be something else busted?
thx
Matt

Most likely, the buzzing relay was a symptom of a weak battery. Charge and load test battery first.

+1 It's more than likely your battery. Charge it up.

You guys called it -- I tried jumping the bike off of a car with the old battery, but that was a no-go. I replaced the battery with a new one and the bike starts right up now. I suspect the old one went bad, the guys at the local moto shop put it on the charger and they'll test it tomorrow...
