Hey,
I see you guys treated Desmolu and El Matador well about a month ago. I will be in town with my significant other Girlfriend July 16-19 if anyone wants to meet up one night. Let me know,

Just wanted to thank Ducmouse for showing my girlfriend and I a good time at Gardunos on the green. There we a lot of bikes there. I was actually amazed at how many Ducati motorcycles I saw on the road the 3 1/2 days I was there.   The brewpbs and wineries we went to were awesome also. Thanks again Ducmouse.

Hey Wasabi, good to hear you enjoyed your visit.  Sorry Kingbaby and I couldn't make it that night and from what DucMouse told us, the security/police situation was crazy.  Hopefully next time you two come out we can make it a larger gathering and a little less "IZ_" (  Police ).   chug

Until then take care and ride safe!  [moto]

Wasabi, I'm going to threadjack for a moment because this doesn't deserve its own topic.

I have been riding for 4 decades & am amazed people still give a shit about motorcyclist (we know damn good & well they don't see us when driving). Working in the H-D world for 12 years, I have seen my fair share of macho ass holes, but have met some of the most amazing people in the world on those noisy damn things.  Now I hang out with people that their bikes are so damn loud I can't hear those other guys (weird).

I've lived on both coasts & many points in between. If it's not noise, it's handlebars, or license plates, or turn signals, or ...
Bottom line: If you have to keep blippin' the throttle to keep it running... call your mechanic.

Who ever this person is... Get a make the beast with two backsing life.  And some ear plugs for your Prius (or Pius if you will).

Copy & paste from here down...don't kill the messenger.

FYI
The following are suggestions for possible letters to the Albuquerque City Councilors. Say your piece however you want to, just get your voice out there. It doesn't have to be anything long and drawn out, shorter is better.

To Brad Winter
City Councilor
Albuquerque, New Mexico

Dear Mr. Winter,
I would like to register my opposition to the proposed O-09-80 Vehicle Nuisance Ordinance Amendment. Because the amendment is written so ambiguously, it will become the excuse that many law enforcement officers will use to harass certain citizens. Motorcyclists will be targeted due to the fact that most motorcycle engines must be revved while waiting in traffic in order to keep them running. This type of profiling is unacceptable in a free America.
I would appreciate your vote against the proposed amendment.
Sincerely,
“Joe Biker”

or maybe
Motorcyclists will be encouraged to fight these tickets in court and the subjective standards of this legislation will result in the tickets being dismissed, causing more legal costs for the city in a time when money is scarce.

or maybe
This amendment will negatively affect tourism dollars for the entire city. National publications will make riders throughout the country aware of the negative attitude that our city chooses to put forward. New Mexico is a great place to ride year round but riders will know to stay away from Albuquerque.

These are just a few ideas, many more great points were brought up at the NMMRO meeting. Send your letter to every one of the city councilors. Their addresses are listed in the body of this email. They all need to hear from us.

So in my town up here they too have a noise ordinance that passed this spring.  Ours prohibits aftermarket exhausts on motorcycles 'born' after 1992.  I have been pulled over twice now.  The first one was on the 1098 (there is a shocker) while going to get the VIN inspected.  I had NM plates, license, and wasnt speeding so he let me go with a warning.

The second was on the S4r on Thursday, but he couldnt show me that they were aftermarket because I bought them in Germany and they didnt have the "Race only" stamp.  Plus he didnt have the machine to actually measure the noise.  He gave me a warning and told me to fix my "engine" noise.

Annoying as shit
