Do the exact opposite of what this guy did......

That swingarm is going to look nasty after a 100 miles or so, seeing as they felt the need to remove the chain guard.

So far -

The smog fell off, airbox got opened up (TINY HOLES!) Fender changed over to a superbike unit, working on swapping out the headlight, the swingarm gets worked over tomorrow, need to find a tail chop kit...

Needs a 14t front sprocket, better bars, and rearsets... Think we are gonna swap in some Billet Speedy Moto bits in the near near future...

Pics to follow!

IMO the new M line-up belongs on the show "SuperBikes".  It's lost its soul.

GIVE IT SOME SOUL!!!

It shouldn't surprise me to learn of all the anti M696 sentiment out there. I routinely said "I will never own a Monster. It's just not for me." And something about the 2009s really grew on me. The shape of the tank. The stylishly located pipes. The semi aggressive seating position. I just love it.

And since this long term Monster disliker likes the new Monster, it only makes sense that the long term Monster likers don't care for it.

I don't run chain guards on my S2R1000 and it looks fine, even if I don't wash the bike for months at a time...

Yeah but that's like, fifty trips to starbucks, and given the 5 really really perfect weekends that happen every year, that's like a decade, so the bike will be fine.

I just have one question.

Are 2010 Ducatis already out in some areas or are you just lucky enough to have one before it has been officially released on the public market?

Because I only see 2009 models out.

Termis instead of LV. It's a Ducati.

Same as me.
The chainguard was the first thing I removed from the bike and I have had no issues..
